As director of instruction at Golf Performance Group, it is my goal to provide the best and most enjoyable experience while improving their game faster than traditional golf instruction. Myself and all coaches want to teach golfers of all ages and abilities simple strategies and concepts through our programs, practice styles and private lessons.
Dr. Jonathan Brown
Dr. Johnathan Brown is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Sports Vision Specialist who has dedicated his career to the intersection of visual science and athletic performance. As a Putt Doctor Associate trained directly under Dr. Craig Farnsworth, OD — the world’s foremost authority on putting vision — Dr. Brown brings a uniquely specialized skill set to Golf Performance Group.
After building and growing Pearland Vision Center into a thriving practice, Dr. Brown made the deliberate decision to sell to MyEyeDr and redirect his expertise full-time toward golf performance — driven by a passion for helping golfers unlock the visual skills that separate good putters from great ones.
Dr. Brown’s approach is grounded in the Putt Doctor methodology: assessing eye dominance, convergence, vergence flexibility, fixation stability (Quiet Eye), and binocular vision — then prescribing targeted drills using the Brock String, GPG Putting Line, and anaglyph training tools to correct the visual deficits that cause missed putts.
